Aerosmith Has a Lot of Archival Material to Release

According to Ultimateclassicrock.com, Joe Perry has recently said that Aerosmith has, “quite a bit” of music dating all the way back to the 1970’s that they are hoping to be able to release through various different formats over the course of the next few years. The guitarist was inspired by the release of last year’s  1971: The Road Starts Hear, which contained unheard rehearsal footage of the band’s earliest materials.  Perry had this to say about the release, “It sounded so good. I mean, we could have put that out on the first record,” “We just had two microphones when we recorded that. It shows how conscious we were of the dynamics and how the band sounded as a whole. Listening back to it, any time I hear those songs, it brings me back.” Fans of early 70’s Aerosmith have something more to look forward to as well with Perry having this to say, “Going back into the ’70s where people didn’t have cellphones with cameras, it’s a lot harder to find video, but there’s a surprising amount of videos that were made and assembled, mostly because back then, the record companies would use them for promotion when they would get together every year to show what new product was coming out,” On top of releasing their old unreleased footage in the near future, Aerosmith will be touring again this Fall, with two New England shows, before continuing their las Vegas Residency on September 14th.
