‘Joker 2’ Lady Gaga in Talks to Join Joaquin Phoenix

The 2019 film The Joker which grossed over $1 billion dollars, is set to be coming back, and this time is rumored to be a musical. At the moment, Lady Gaga is negotiating to join Joaquin Phoenix in the musical sequel of the film. However, Phoenix also hasn’t came to a deal yet with the film makers so far. Nevertheless, Gaga has shown interest in playing the part of Harley Quinn in the new film, although this version would be different from the version portrayed in The Suicide Squad just last year. Details of the character so far have been well hidden, however the complicated relationship between Harley Quinn and the Joker has a twisted and abusive past. The producer of the new movie Todd Phillips, also produced A Star Is Born, which featured Lady Gaga in it. Phillips will be looking to repeat the success of the first Joker film which reached the number four spot for the highest ranking rated R movie of all time, along with receiving 11 Oscar nominations, and grossing over $1 billion dollars.
