According to Audicity.com, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs will be receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2022 BET Awards. In a statement BET said, ”(the award) honors industry giants who have not only significantly shaped culture through their extensive careers, but who have also been transformative leaders that consistently inspire generations by setting a true standard of excellence”. BET’s CEO Scott Mills also said that “Diddy has always been a pioneering force in our community, breaking barriers, achieving unprecedented heights, blazing new trails, and, in so doing, raising the bar for all of us,”. This will mean that Diddy will be joining legendary names such as Whitney Houston, Prince, Mary J Blige, Queen Latifah, Diana Ross and others who have received the award in the past at the BET awards. The BET awards will be taking place on Sunday, June 26th, on BET at 8PM ET/PT.
