Taco Bell fans, rejoice: The beloved Mexican Pizza has returned. The popular menu item had been removed from Taco Bell’s menu for two years but was relaunched after fans begged the restaurant chain to bring the popular dish back.
Last month, Taco Bell announced it was bringing back the Mexican Pizza after removing it in 2020 as part of broader plans to streamline its menu amid the coronavirus pandemic. “Mexican Pizza has a long history with the brand and I’m glad we could give fans what they crave and bring our classic Mexican Pizza back home where it belongs,” Taco Bell CEO Mark King said in a statement last month.
And to celebrate the relaunch, Taco Bell is collaborating with non other than country music legend Dolly Parton! The Grammy-winning, soon-to-be inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame legend, has written a musical inspired by the Mexican Pizza, which will premiere on TikTok May 26.
