Dan + Shay, Justin Bieber Sued for Copyright Infringement Over “10,000 Hours”

Dan + Shay and Justin Bieber have recently been named in a copyright infringement lawsuit for their collaborative song, “10,000 Hours.”

It was reported that International Manufacturing Concepts, Melomega music, and Sound Gems have officially sued Bieber, Dan + Shay, and the other songwriters on the track due to similarities in “10,000 Hours” to the 1973 song “The First Time Baby Is A Holiday,” written by Palmer Rakes and Frank Fioravanti.

The suit claims that there are “unmistakable similarities” and that the artists “stole the core portion” of the song in question.

Dan + Shay nor Bieber have not yet responded to the claims.
