Jeff Schroeder Reveals New Smashing Pumpkins Album is Finished

Jeff Schroeder has just revealed that the Smashing Pumpkins have just finished recording their forthcoming album.

“We finished that big, epic album we were working on,” Schroeder said in a recent interview, but that there was “nothing I can give details on quite yet.”

The Smashing Pumpkins guitarist previously mentioned that the highly-anticipated album will, in fact, be the third in the trilogy of 1995’s Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness and 2000’s Machina/The Machine of God.

The band, about to embark on the “Rock Invasion 2 Tour,” seems to have quite a bit up their sleeve.

“We’re going to have some pretty exciting announcements at some point during the tour as well pertaining to the rest of the year,” Schroeder went on. “So it’s a really exciting time for us. I’m just excited to be doing what I do, which is play guitar and perform.”
