According to former Forbes journalist Zack O’Malley Greenburg recently reported last year’s highest-earning hip-hop artists.
Jay-Z topped the list with reported earnings of $470 million. Kanye West sat at second with $250 million, while Diddy and Drake fell behind earning $75 million and $5 million, respectively.
Jay-Z’s top-tier place came mostly from his Tidal and Armand de Brignac champagne deals, while West can thank his Yeezy shoes for his cushy $250 million. According to Greenburg, the only artist who manages to make more than both rappers is Bruce Springsteen, who made a reported $590 million.
