Nick Jonas, the youngest of the Jonas Brothers pop trio, and his wife Priyanka Chopra have surprised many fans with the news of having just welcomed their first baby.
“We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate,” the couple, who married in December of 2018, wrote in a statement on Instagram at the end of last week. “We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much.”
Earlier this year, while the pregnancy was kept secret, Chopra did hint at their growing family in a recent interview.
“(Children are) a big part of our desire for the future. By God’s grace, when it happens, it happens,” the 39-year-old stated.
While no further details were shared by either Jonas or Chopra, the two were met with lots of love from friends, family, and fans alike.
Joe Jonas, who recently became a father with his wife Sophie Turner last year, posted a red heart emoji in a comment of the celebratory post. Ryan Tedder added, “Omg HUGE CONGRAAAAAATS WOW WOW WOW.”
