The Foo Fighters were on the bill to perform at the Formula One race in Abu Dhabi yesterday, but the band was forced to cancel due to “unforeseen medical circumstances.”
According to the event’s organizers, the band became “unable to travel” because a yet-to-be-identified member of the band was rushed to a hospital from an airport in Chicago, where the band stopped on the way to Abu Dhabi.
“The band apologizes for any inconvenience or disappointment caused by this unexpected turn of events,” a statement read, although there has been no official comment from the Foo Fighters on social media or otherwise.
The Foo Fighters last performed in Fresno, California, on Thursday and had been scheduled to end their tour in Abu Dhabi.
