Chris Stapleton Postpones Weekend Shows, “Doctor’s Orders”

Yesterday afternoon, Chris Stapleton took to Twitter to announce some bad news for fans with tickets to his upcoming live shows.

“On doctor’s orders,” the country singer wrote, “I will need to continue my vocal rest through the weekend in order to fully heal.” As a result, three shows at the end of this week—two sold-out—will be postponed.

Stapleton laments having to reschedule and apologizes to fans for the inconvenience and disappointment. He also expresses gratitude for his audience’s “patience and understanding.”

“Nothing is more personal to me than the experience of music,” Stapleton tells his followers. “I’m eternally grateful for the privilege of sharing in that journey with all of you night after night. Thank you for your continued support and I hope to see you all very soon.”

The two sold-out Nashville shows, originally set for this Friday and Saturday, have been pushed to December 10th and 11th. The Ohio show’s new date will be announced “as soon as possible.”
