On Friday, Vince Neil was taken to a nearby hospital after falling off stage during Mötley Crüe’s performance at the Monsters on the Mountain Festival held in Tennessee.
The 60-year-old singer accidentally stepped off the edge of the stage while playing “Don’t Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)” early on in the set. Neil fell about four feet onto the ground and was helped up and away with a limp.
“The truth is Vince fell and broke ribs when he fell,” bassist Dana Strum explained to the crowd. “He can’t breathe and he’s gonna get dealt with medically.”
Jeff Blando, Mötley Crüe’s guitarist, took over for the injured rocker for the rest of the performance despite Neil wanting to continue on for his fans.
