Last night, the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the St. louis Cardinals 3-1 in the National League Wild Card Game. The game was dominated by both starter pitchers, Max Scherzer and Adam Wainwright, as the game was tied 1-1 all the way until the 9th inning. Chris Taylor from the Dodgers hit a walk-off 2 run home run off of Cardinals’ star closer, Alex Reyes, winning the game after a long night of anticipation.
The Dodgers now head to San Francisco to face division rival, the San Francisco Giants, in the NLDS. Starting Friday, the two 100+ win teams will compete for a chance to move on to the NLCS.
Concurrently, the Milwaukee Brewers and the Atlanta Braves begin their own journeys toward winning the NLDS.
