Despite being currently incarcerated and awaiting trial for drug and weapon charges, YoungBoy Never Broke Again becomes the first hip-hop artist (and second overall act, after Taylor Swift) to score #1 album on the Billboard 200 three years in a row.
With his new release Sincerely, Kentrell, the 21-year-old rapper has now had four albums in the #1 spot, following his 2019 Al YoungBoy 2, 2020’s 38 Baby 2, and 2020’s Top.
NBA YoungBoy also notably joins 2Pac and Lil Wayne as the only rappers to hit the #1 spot while in prison.
