This Summer United Airlines will start selling White Claw Hard Seltzers, Wine, Beer and a new Snack Menu on longer flights

For those comfortable enough to fly again, United Airlines has just announced that, starting in June, it will offer White Claw along with beer, wine and a new snack menu for (contactless) purchase on most flights more than two hours long. The move gives United bragging rights as the first major airline to serve the super popular hard seltzer onboard its flights.

In addition to White Claw Mango, which will be available starting June 1, the airline’s new adult beverage menu includes options locally sourced from United hubs, along with old favorites. These include Breckenridge Brewery Juice Drop Hazy IPA, Kona Brewing Co. Big Wave Golden Ale, Michelob ULTRA, Stella Artois, and red, white and sparkling wines.

And you won’t have to drink on an empty stomach. Starting June 15, United will also offer a revamped snack menu as well as new premium cabin meal choices on most flights longer than 1,500 miles and hub-to-hub flights longer than 800 miles or two hours.

Flyers can choose from three new snack boxes, each with its own distinct vibe. The Tapas Box includes hummus, bruschetta, breadstick crackers, flatbread crackers, sea salt almonds, olives and dark chocolate sea salt caramel. The Takeoff Box contains salami, apricots, gouda cheese spread, white cheddar cheese spread, multigrain crackers, cream crackers, smoked almonds and Toblerone. And for kids and kid-like snackers, the Recline Box pretty much has it all: Pirate’s Booty white cheddar puffs, honey mustard pretzels, gummy bears and OREO cookies.

The airline is also beefing up its a la carte snack options with high-protein and gluten-free snacks. So now travelers can munch on Tru Fru Banana Bites (dark-chocolate-covered, hyper-dried bananas), a Food Should Taste Good Chips & Salsa Box (gluten-free, sweet potato ‘tortilla’ chips with roasted pepper salsa) and/or GourmetNut Mega Omega Trail Mix (a snack mix containing walnuts, dried mango, almonds, cranberries and pumpkin seeds), in addition to Pringles Classic potato chips.
