Chipotle Is Donating Money And Free Burritos To Benefit Healthcare Workers

Healthcare workers truly deserve the most heartfelt thank you for all they’ve done during the pandemic. From caring for patients to administering vaccines, medical professionals have been the superstars of the last year and now the giant food chain Chipotle wants to show their appreciation in the form of free food for “Health Care Heroes.”

Medical professionals can now sign up to receive a free burrito thanks to a new campaign by Chipotle that will launch on April 29 at 10 a.m PST. The chain will be giving out 250,000 free burritos to medical professionals as a small token of appreciation.

In addition to the free food, Chipotle is debuting a virtual wall where fans can thank healthcare workers in their community by writing and posting custom, heartfelt messages. You can view the messages online via the Chipotle website, and some thoughtful posts are already online and available for viewing. One submission put it simply, writing: “Thank you isn’t enough. We owe you all so much for your brave perseverance and skill. With tremendous respect and appreciation.”

Additionally, Chipotle will match 10 percent of limited-edition Egift card purchases and donate the funds to the American Nurses Association, an organization that aims to transform the nation’s health through nursing.

As a reminder, several food chains are giving out free food or order reimbursements with valid proof of vaccination. So if you’ve already gotten your vaccine, be sure to give thanks to a healthcare worker today before you head over to the drive-thru to flash your vaccine card.
