Maybe you already count Bloomingdale’s as one of your go-to shopping sites, and if so, get ready for some exciting news! Designer Stella McCartney is bringing her “Stellabration” to the store, curating pieces from her collections as well as sustainably-minded products for beauty, wellness and home. These will be sold as The Carousel @ Bloomingdale’s: Stellabration. The rotating pop-up shop is open from March 4 to May 17 at the Bloomingdale’s 59th Street flagship in New York City, as well as online.
Featuring culturally relevant products curated by guest tastemakers – among them Stella McCartney’s genderless Shared capsule collection, as well as its Spring 2021 and Resort 2021 accessories collections – The Carousel will inspire visitors or shoppers to live more sustainably. “Thinking about the future of fashion is what drives and sustains me in all aspects of my work including this project with Bloomingdale’s,” Stella McCartney shared in a statement.
Stellabration includes a wide assortment of fashion accessories, clean beauty finds, wellness essentials, home items, and more. It’s inspired by the designer’s eco-conscious approach to creating a brand. From everyday totes to reusable travel straws and bottles, the edit carries an important message, sometimes marked on the products, “I Am Not Disposable”.
“For us at Stella McCartney, change has always been about being more in tune with Mother Earth and her creatures and using the fashion industry as a platform to make the message desirable. I’ve been working towards this change in the fashion industry for many years, proving that you don’t have to sacrifice style for the sake of sustainability. Living sustainably can start by making small changes, and even these small steps can have a positive impact on the environment.”
