1964 – The Beatles appeared for the 3rd time on “The Ed Sullivan Show.” They appeared via tape.

1965 – The Beach Boys recorded “Help Me Rhonda”.

1969 – The Jimi Hendrix Experience played its last British concert.

1970 – “ABC” by the Jackson Five was released.

1975 – Led Zeppelin’s album “Physical Graffiti” was released.

1976 – The Eagles’ “Greatest Hits” album became the first album in the U.S. to be certified platinum by the RIAA.

1978 – “The Second Barry Manilow Special” aired on ABC-TV with guest star Ray Charles.

1979 – The Police released the single “Roxanne” in the U.S.

1980 – NBC premiered the TV movie “Harper Valley P.T.A.”
