The upcoming Street Fighter film adaptation is assembling a knockout cast, with Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and comedian Andrew Schulz the latest to join the action-packed project from Legendary Entertainment.
Jackson has been tapped to play Balrog, the disgraced boxer turned ruthless bodyguard, marking his biggest action role to date. According to insiders, Jackson is undergoing intense physical training and plans to perform his own stunts for the film, adding authenticity to the hard-hitting role.
Schulz, known for his sharp comedy, will bring fan-favorite Dan Hibiki to life. The overconfident martial artist with a flair for satire is expected to provide comic relief amid the high-stakes action.
The duo joins an already stacked ensemble, including Jason Momoa as Blanka, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, Andrew Koji as Ryu, Noah Centineo as Ken, and country star Orville Peck as Vega.
Directed by The Eric Andre Show’s Kitao Sakurai, the film begins production in Australia this August. With Street Fighter being one of gaming’s most beloved franchises, fans are eager to see how this latest adaptation fares after previous mixed attempts. One thing’s certain—the fight is on.
