Red Solo Cup – Toby Keith

“Red Solo Cup” is a song written by Brett Warren, Brad Warren, Brett Beavers, and Jim Beavers and recorded by Toby Keith. It was released on October 10, 2011 as the second single from Keith’s 2011 album Clancy’s Tavern. This is the only song on the album that Keith did not write or co-write. The song was featured in the Glee episode “Hold On to Sixteen”. Insider ranked it as the 2nd worst song of the 2010s decade and Toby Keith himself called it “the stupidest song I ever heard in my life.” A remixed version by Johnny Mac appears on the deluxe edition of Keith’s sixteenth studio album Hope on the Rocks, released the following year. It is Keith’s biggest crossover hit to date.

Just A Kiss – Lady A

“Just a Kiss” is a song recorded by Lady A. It was released on May 2, 2011 as the lead single from the band’s album Own the Night. Dallas Davidson collaborated with band members Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood to write the song, taking inspiration from the members’ personal experiences. Produced by Paul Worley, “Just a Kiss” was among the last songs recorded for the album, and is a mid-tempo country ballad with lyrics that speak of a romantic relationship between two new couples. Professional reviews for “Just a Kiss” have been mostly positive, commending on the song’s theme and musical arrangement and also praising Lady Antebellum’s performance, and it features lead vocals from both Scott and Kelley.

“Just Fishin'” is a song written by Casey Beathard, Monty Criswell, and Ed Hill and recorded by Trace Adkins. It was released in March 2011 as the first single for his second album for Show Dog-Universal Music, Proud to Be Here. On November 30, 2011, the song received a Nomination in 54th Grammy Awards for Best Country Song.

Remind Me – Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood

“Remind Me” is a song co-written and recorded by Brad Paisley, performed as a duet with Carrie Underwood. It was released in May 2011 as the third single from Paisley’s album This Is Country Music. The music video for the song premiered on CMT on July 26, 2011. The song was also named Taste of Country’s Song of The Year for 2011. Paisley wrote this song with Kelley Lovelace and Chris DuBois.

“Teenage Daughters” is a song co-written and recorded by Martina McBride. It is her first single for Republic Nashville. It was released in March 2011 as the lead-off single from her album Eleven, which was released on October 11, 2011.
