The 2022 NBA Playoffs kicked off with four enticing games over the weekend.
In the East, the No. 1 seed Miami Heat demolished the No. 8 seed Atlanta Hawks in Game 1, 115-91, thanks to Duncan Robinson’s 27 points, Jimmy Butler’s 21 points, P.J. Tucker’s 16 points, and Kyle Lowry’s 10. Game 2 for the teams is set to take place on Tuesday.
The No. 2 seed Boston Celtics had a tight 115-114 win over the No. 7 Brooklyn Nets with a buzzer layup by Jayson Tatum. The close Game 1 had basketball fans biting their nails, making Wednesday’s game in Boston even more anticipated.
Game 1 between the No. 3 Milwaukee Bucks and the No. 6 Chicago Bulls was up and down, with the Bucks pulling through with a 93-86 win over the Bulls after bouncing back with Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 27 points and 16 rebounds. The teams will meet in Milwaukee for Game 2 on Wednesday.
Finally, in the West, the No. 1 seed Phoenix Suns burned the No. 8 seed New Orleans Pelicans, 110-99, with Chris Paul scoring over half of his 30 points in the fourth quarter. Game 2 is set for Tuesday in Phoenix.
