The nominees for the 2022 CMT Awards have just been announced.
Kane Brown is leading the event as the most-nominated artist in four categories, including Video of the Year, Male Video of the Year, and CMT Performance of the Year.
Kelsea Ballerini, Mickey Guyton, Breland, and Cody Johson all have three nominations.
This year’s CMT Awards features a brand new category, CMT Digital-First Performance of the Year, which highlights artist performances through CMT Digital, including Brittney Spencer, Carly Pearce, Cody Johnson, Jon Pardi, Josh Turner, and Lainey Wilson.
The first round of nominees for Video of the Year includes Carrie Underwood and her collaboration with Jason Aldean on “If I Didn’t Love You” squares off against videos from Brandi Carlile, Cody Johnson, Cole Swindell and Lainey Wilson, Kacey Musgraves, Kane Brown, Kelsea Ballerini feat. Kenny Chesney, Luke Combs, Maren Morris, Miranda Lambert, and Taylor Swift feat. Chris Stapleton.
The top nominees from the first round of voting for Video of the Year will be announced on April 4th, while final nominees from the second round of voting will be announced on show day, April 11th. Final voting will be determined via social media and announced as the final category during the live broadcast.
The 2022 CMT Music Awards are set to air live from Nashville on Monday, April 11, beginning at 8PM ET on CBS and Paramount+.
