Sometimes, there are brand collaborations that just make sense — you know, the ones between labels that have an aesthetic synergy and maybe even share a customer. The latest? Collina Strada and Baggu.
As Fashionista reports, last week the two released their first collaborative collection, bringing Collina Strada’s whimsical, playful spirit to Baggu’s function-forward designs. There are shoulder bags and totes, as well as a picnic blanket, a pop-up tent and a towel — all covered in psychedelic prints of multi-colored chrysanthemums, trippy puppies and AI-manipulated plaids inspired by the Collina Strada archive. Prices start at $16 and go up to $135.
The star of the collab, though, is no doubt the horse bag, a crossbody shaped like, well, a horse, available in black and plaid. It will surely become someone’s arm candy during this Beyoncé-fueled “Cowboy Carter” summer.
Sustainability is a key value for both brands. This collection uses 59% recycled material, and is designed to not only be reusable, but also to encourage the wearer to spend time outdoors. “Our partnership with Baggu is built on a shared belief that sustainability and self-expression need to be at the forefront of product design,” Collina Strada designer Hillary Taymour said in a statement.
Unlike the much-hyped and immediately sold-out Sandy Liang x Baggu collab, there’s no limit on units per person, so shop what your heart wishes — however, don’t be surprised if it sells out just as fast.
