You know what they say; “hey, you should write a book”! And that’s what the Zeppelin team did! The ‘50th Anniversary of Led Zeppelin’ will be memorialized in an illustrated commemorative book, releasing sometime in 2018. Although the name of the book, due date, and who will be contributing has yet to be released, there are a few fun facts that may be in the book…
The band (Page, Bonham, Plant and Jones) began as the ‘New Yardbirds’ but went with the eventual name of Led Zeppelin while the band was practicing a song. One of the boys said the song was so bad it would go over like a ‘lead balloon’ to which Moon replied: “Like a Led Zeppelin.”
The band has had a few legal issues along the way, as the group Spirit (the estate of Randy California) took them to court over ‘Stairway…’ yet earlier they were sued by a folk singer who claimed to have written ‘Dazed and Confused.’ Both were settled in one way or another.
