The official cause of death for Steely Dan’s Walter Becker has been released. Walter died of an aggressive form of esophageal cancer. Walter succumbed to the disease on September 3rd. The band chose to get back on the road, adding more dates before the end of the year.
Joe Perry of Aerosmith has announced a solo project ‘Sweetzerland Manifesto,’ which will be released in mid-January. Cheap Trick’s Robin Zander contributed on the album.
It’s been reported that the Eagles and Jimmy Buffett will be touring together in 2018. No more details than that have been released, but early indications are that there will be a limited number of tour dates, most likely stadiums.
The ‘Ian Anderson Presents: Jethro Tull – 50th Anniversary Tour,’ will begin in late May of 2018 in Phoenix, ending in New York City in early September (providing they don’t add more dates)
