Christmas has come and gone and the box office results were amazing. The new Star Wars movie was still rocking in theaters this past weekend, but they weren’t alone with great numbers. There were other big movies out though like Sing, Passengers and Why Him?
The big winner of the weekend was obviously Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. It made just under $100 million, about $40 million more than the second best movie. Globally this movie has made over $500 million.
Sing was the second biggest movie of the weekend, making in the mid-$50 million range. It debuted on Wednesday of this past week. As for Passengers, the Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt flick, it made a solid $20+ million. Why Him? featuring James Franco and Bryan Cranston was the fourth best movie based off box office revenue, making about $16 million.
