Who Made the Most Money On Tour in 2017?

Sure Justin Timberlake can fill a room, Lady Gaga a stadium, or Adele a Kingdom, but the real money is in what Baby Boomers like; and Baby Boomers like their rock and roll. 2017 was a banner year for rock and roll, with plenty of acts on the road this past summer and fall. Who made the most money in 2017, based on ticket sales from tours?

Guns N’ Roses, Coldplay, U2, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Billy Joel, Stevie Nicks and Bruce Springsteen were all in the top 10 of most everyone’s tally. Bruce even took time away from touring to appear on Broadway in the fall, with extended 2018 through June.

The biggest night of money, or in the business what’s called the ‘Boxscore,’ came from the U2 and Lumineers brought in the most cash from their performances at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena CA, and at Chicago’s Soldier Field.
