The Hollywood Reporter releases multiple charts weekly looking at actors, TV personalities and comedians among others. Amy Schumer and Sarah Silverman are having great success these days, but let’s give props to Tina Fey, Margaret Cho, and Aisling Bea are doing well in their own right. The biggest news is being made by Tiffany Hadish who seems to be everywhere, from award shows to streaming specials.
Corinne Fisher, Emma Willman, Gina Brillon, Jen Kirkman and Jenna Friedman are rising stars in the stand-up comedy space, while Phoebe Robinson & Jessica Williams, Issa Rae, and Aparna Nancherla of color that are making a difference. Melissa McCarthey, Jennifer Aniston and Amy Adams have handled comedy quite nicely. Watch for these funny women in the future.
