According to the Snackolator Instagram account, which knows all the info about the tastiest new releases, Wendy’s will be debuting a brand new Frosty flavor today.
As Food & Wine reports, the Ohio-based chain’s latest frozen treat will be the Triple Berry Frosty, which is a sweet-sounding combination of blackberry, raspberry, and strawberry flavors. Although Wendy’s has previously had a Strawberry Frosty, this is the first time it’s offered a berry trio.
Unfortunately for fans of Wendy’s last seasonal Frosty release, saying hello to Triple Berry means saying goodbye to the Orange Dreamsicle Frosty. According to Snackolator, you “only have a few more days” to order it.
That particular flavor launched in mid-March — and it also gives us an idea of what Wendy’s means when it says that Triple Berry will only be here for a limited time. (We’re guessing we need to down as many of them as we can between now and early September.)
On Snackolator’s post about the release, there were mixed levels of enthusiasm for the new flavor. “I will probably get it because it’s a pretty color,” one person wrote. “I may have to upset my stomach for this,” another added. “Non-dairy life.” Others were disappointed that Orange Dreamsicle wouldn’t be sticking around for the rest of the summer, and a lot of Instagrammers just want to know why Wendy’s hasn’t made the Vanilla Frosty a permanent menu item.
If you’re a Wendy’s regular, Monday is going to be a big day. Not only is that when the Triple Berry Frosty drops, it’s the same day that Wendy’s Saucy Nuggets will be released at restaurants nationwide.
Wendy’s originally tested the Saucy Nuggets at a handful of locations in Ohio last December, and earlier this week, it made them available to order through the Wendy’s website and the Wendy’s app. But on Monday, they’re available to everyone. The new nuggs can be ordered in seven different flavor combos: Buffalo, Garlic Parm, Honey BBQ, Spicy Buffalo, Spicy Garlic Parm, Spicy Ghost Pepper, and Spicy Honey BBQ.
If you opt for one of the spicy options, then a Triple Berry Frosty may be exactly what you need to cool off your smoldering tongue.
