Was the 80s The Best Decade for Music? We Think So…

The 80s was not only the birth of the internet and the IT revolution, it was also the birth of MTV and great rock bands. Here are a few of our favorite 80s rock LPs…

‘Synchronicity’ by the Police was ‘the’ breakout album of 1983, eventually being inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2009.

In 1982, Michael Jackson released the album ‘Thriller,’ Van Halen’s ‘1984’ was an 80s favorite, as were ‘Born in the USA’ from the Boss, ‘Hysteria’ and ‘Pyromania’ from Def Leppard, and ‘Purple Rain’ from Prince were played by local radio stations across America.

‘Back in Black’ from AC/DC, ‘Moving Pictures’ from Rush and ‘Rebel Yell’ from Billy Idol all made headlines in this decade. Metallica ruled the 80s with ‘Master of Puppets’ and ‘Ride the Lighting’ while ‘London Calling’ from the Clash and ‘Tracy Chapman’ by Tracy generated millions in sales.
