The Golden State Warriors went out and signed Kevin Durant this past offseason and this NBA Finals we saw why. Durant and the Warriors beat the Cavs Monday night 129-120 to avenge the seven-game loss to the Cavs last season. Durant was especially magnificent during the series scoring 35 points per game and earning himself MVP honors.
Monday night the game was tight until the end of the second quarter. It was at this point that we saw the Warriors start to build the lead into the double digits. At times in the second half the Cavs really competed and brought the game within five, but in the end the Warriors were too much at home. During the series we saw LeBron James play out of his mind, averaging a triple double (33/12/10), but it wasn’t enough to take down the Warriors.
