The 2017 nominations for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame have been announced and there are plenty of rockers that made the cut. As always, there are some first time nominees. This year Tupac Shakur has made the cut, his first chance at the Hall ever.
Tupac Shakur was shot and killed many years ago, but his legendary status has lived on. You can’t talk about the rap game without the great Tupac and the way he shaped rap music for years to come. In the near future there is a movie coming out showing his life that looks similar to what “Straight Outta Compton” was. Considering his resume and what happened to him, that movie looks like a must see.
Do you want to help get Tupac into the Hall? We can do our part to help him get in! If you visit rockhall.com you can vote for who you think deserves to get in. The top five will receive a vote towards the other ballots for the 2017 nomination. Voting begins December 5 and you are allowed to vote just once per day.
Others looking at a chance to get into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame include Jane’s Addiction, Joe Tex, Chic, Pearl Jam, Yes, MC5, Janet Jackson and Electric Light Orchestra among many others.
