Troy Aikman Slams Colts’ During Broadcast, Calls Their Offense ‘pretty dreadful’

The Indianapolis Colts struggled plenty offensively on Monday nights loss, and broadcaster Troy Aikman made his opinion on it clear. During the game’s broadcast, he described the Colts’ offense as being “pretty dreadful.” He also stated he thinks that Matt Ryan is at the end of his career and added he was shocked by Indianapolis’ desire to throw instead of running the ball.

He also made it clear he believes quarterback Matt Ryan is at the end of his career and noted he was shocked by Indy’s desire to throw the football instead of opting to run more. Stating, “They’ve thrown the ball a lot more than I would have anticipated.” All throughout the game Aikman continued to share his opinion about what he called the offensive ineptitude.

The Colts were only able to accumulate 71 yards of offense in the first half of their game against the Steelers’ defense and ultimately lost the game 24-17. Ryan only completed 5 of his 13 passes for 36 yards and an interception during the first half of the contest. Ryan and the Colts ended up scoring 14 points in the third quarter but only three in the first two. Ryan finished the game with one touchdown, one interception, and 199 passing yards.
