Travis Scott Rocks Milan: Fans Mistake Concert for Earthquake

Travis Scott is known for shaking things up on stage, but his latest performance in Milan took that reputation to a whole new level. The Circus Maximus Tour’s European leg brought 80,000 fans to the Ippodromo Snai La Maura open-field venue on Tuesday, creating such a ruckus that it sparked fears of an earthquake in Italy.

As Scott belted out his hit “FE!N” eight times in a row, the ground beneath the massive crowd seemed to tremble. Italian newspaper Il Messaggero reported that some citizens mistook the intense vibrations for tectonic activity. Although the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology confirmed there were no actual earthquakes in Milan, the concert’s seismic impact was felt far and wide.

Social media lit up with comments from confused fans. “Am I the only one who heard the #terremoto in Milan?” asked one user on X (formerly Twitter). Another added, “Did I alone feel three good tremors of #Terremoto in Milan?”

Scott shared breathtaking aerial footage on Instagram, showcasing the wild scene of thousands of fans, phone lights, and mosh pits. “LAST NIGHT WAS A DREAM,” he wrote. “MILAN YALL OWE ME NOTHING. YALL GAVE YALL ALL 80k OF YALL HAD THE BEST TIME EVER.”

This isn’t the first time Scott’s performance has been mistaken for an earthquake in Italy. Similar reports emerged during a June 2023 show at the same venue.

The Circus Maximus Tour continues through Europe with shows in Germany and Spain before heading to South America in September. Scott will return to the U.S. for a show at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on October 9, before concluding in Australia and New Zealand.

In addition to his tour, Scott is set to feature on Ice Spice’s debut album Y2K! with their collaborative track “Oh Shhh…” dropping on July 26.
