Travis Scott, the multifaceted musical artist, extends his creative reach far beyond the studio. His latest venture, a collaboration with Swiss luxury watchmaker Audemars Piguet, encapsulates his passion for product design and innovation. As Scott revealed to GQ, his aspirations even include attending Harvard for architecture school, underscoring his commitment to design and creation.
This collaboration birthed the Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar, a limited-edition luxury watch. The timepiece, limited to 200 pieces and sold out immediately, boasts a unique chocolate ceramic case and brown calfskin strap. The watch’s design reflects Scott’s distinctive aesthetic, a familiar brown hue seen in his various projects, from his Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen to his iconic Batman Halloween costume.
Alongside the watch, Scott launched a capsule collection ranging from sweatshirts to slippers, all bearing his signature color. The collection’s diversity, with prices ranging from $60 to $1,850, makes it accessible to a broader audience.
Scott describes watchmaking as a blend of engineering, fashion, and design, mirroring his approach to music production. His collaboration with Audemars Piguet isn’t just a venture into luxury goods; it’s a testament to his artistic versatility and desire to innovate across multiple domains.
