‘Thor: Ragnarok’ led the way over the weekend box office receipts with a take of nearly $50 million dollars in nationwide distribution of over 4,000 theaters. ‘A Bad Mom’s Christmas’ came in second, shown in 3,700 theaters, had a weekend box office take of over $6 million.
The independent film ‘Jigsaw,’ with a budget of only $10 million dollars, remained strong at the box office, adding another $4 million to its $25 million take, opening last weekend.
Finishing out the top movies fans spent money on this weekend were the films ‘Tyler Perry’s Boo 2! A Madea Halloween,’ ‘Geostorm,’ and ‘Happy Death Day.’ Coming up this weekend will be the reprise of ‘Murder on the Orient Express,’ and the sequel to ‘Daddy’s Home’ starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg, and Mel Gibson.
