So you didn’t grow up to be a rock star, and probably don’t know any, but that won’t stop you from holding a guitar once owned by your favorite star. Make plans to be at the Bohemian National Hall in New York City December 2nd, as guitars once owned by Jerry Garcia, Tom Petty, Jimi Hendrix, Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen will be up for auction.
In what’s being billed as the ‘The Legendary Guitars & Musical Treasures’ sale, bidders will able to get up close and personal with these guitars, played by the greatest guitarists of all time.
Les Paul, thought of as the father of guitar innovation had made many guitars he’d plan to give as gifts to stars before his death in 2009. Up for grabs will be guitars made and meant for Paul Simon and George Harrison to name a few.
