Tom Hanks and Clint Eastwood’s Sully Remains at Number One

Tom Hanks knows how to star in a movie and he’s proved it again with his recent movie hit, “Sully.” The movie debuted at the box office number one last week and has done so again this weekend, edging out a pretty weak group of competition for the number one spot. Clint Eastwood directed this one and should be mighty proud of its success.

Other movies to be released this past weekend included “Bridget Jones’s Baby” and “Blair Witch.” “Blair Witch” generated just under $10 million at the box office while “Bridget Jones’s Baby” brough in just over $8 million. Both numbers are weak compared to what they thought they would make in their debut weekend.

“Snowden” was another new flick to come out this past weekend and also flopped, bringing in just $8 million as well.
