Thomas Rhett Dropped Two New Christmas Songs

On Wednesday, November 20th, Thomas Rhett dropped two new holiday tunes, just in time for the holidays.

The two projects Rhett are an original song titled “Christmas in the Country” as well as his cover of the classic “The Christmas Song.”

“Christmas is hands-down my favorite time of year,” he said in a statement. “We have so many Christmas traditions in our family that include a lot of festive music, but I’ve never recorded anything myself. Lauren has wanted me to make some Christmas music for a long time, so this year felt like the right time to finally take a stab at writing something and to put my own twist on one of the all-time classics.”

Rhett’s original song was co-written with David Garcia, Ashley Gorley and Chris Tomlin. The singer’s familiar vocals are at the heart of each holiday song, with “Christmas in the Country” bringing a lighthearted feel alongside vivid lyrics and an upbeat rhythm.
