Over the weekend America went retro at the box office with news that the 70s ‘Superfly’ remake earned an estimated $1.5 million earlier in the week, on track to finish in the top 10 when the weekend tally is counted later today. ‘Superfly’ 2018 pays homage to the 1972 classic of the same name, starring Ron O’Neal, Carl Lee, and Shelia Frasier.

In other Hollywood box office news, the weekend’s big winner was ‘Incredibles 2’ earning more than $150 at the box office, with ‘Ocean’s 8,’ ‘Tag,’ ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story,’ ‘Deadpool 2,’ ‘Hereditary,’ ‘Superfly,’ ‘Avengers: Infinity War,’ ‘Adrift,’ and the ‘Book Club’ filling out the top 10.

If you’re a fan of the cops and robbers “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” you were shocked when Fox canceled the show but elated when it was immediately picked up by NBC. Andy Samberg the star of says that now that the dust has settled, he’s thrilled where the show ended up “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” was pretty happy as well.
