The Rolling Stones have been together for nearly 50 years. It’s hard to believe that to this day they still have the creative fire to write and record new music. We continue to be amazed by what we hear from the Stones.
Two weeks ago, the Rolling Stones released the second pre-release single from the LP ‘Blue and Lonesome’ album. The pre-release song is a cover version of the great Little Walter’s tune “Hate to See You Go.” As previously mentioned, Eric Clapton is on two of the songs. While the Stones were recording next door, he invited himself into the session and agreed to be on the album.
The Rolling Stones have sold over 200 million total albums, have made 29 studio albums and 18 live albums, and have been on nearly 50 tours of some sorts. This isn’t bad for a band that had 14 hotels turned them down for room reservation in New York City for their American tour in 1966!
