Grammy host Trevor Noah set up a special moment at this year’s Grammy Awards, helping Adele achieve her dream of meeting Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson at the Grammy Awards. Noah got the show started by going up to Adele’s table during his opening monologue and revealing something about the singer.
Noah stated, “This is one of the strangest things I found out: The person that Adele has always wanted to meet, but never has, is Dwayne Johnson, I found out he’s a huge fan of yours, too.” Without Adele noticing, Johnson had walked up behind her seat surprising her, causing her to quickly stand and hug him. Noah added, “Adele meet The Rock, The Rock meet Adele! For the first time ever! All right, you two get acquainted, we gotta keep the show moving!”
Back in December of 2021, Adele said that she would “actually cry” if she ever met Johnson. She added, during a YouTube video on channel NikkieTutorials, “I was the biggest wrestling fan when I was younger, He sent me flowers the other day because he and his wife couldn’t make my show. Literally, I nearly fell off my chair!”
