You knew the storm is coming, but the winds are beginning to blow in the Prince Estate settlement suits. The bank managing Prince’s estate has asked the courts to begin liquidating the late singer’s assets at the objections of Prince’s immediate heirs. Paisley Park, the home of Prince, is estimated to be worth over $7 million dollars. The family would like to turn Paisley Park into a museum, while the bank has other ideas.
Prince had owned properties across the USA in total values exceeding $28 million dollars at the time of his death. Although it has yet to be confirmed, Price had once looked into writing a will, but none have been found.
Prince chose the color purple as a fashion and brand image due to his fondness of the NFL Minnesota Vikings, his hometown football team. His time spent as ‘the artist formerly known as Prince’ was a result of a legal battle with a record label, and you may not have known that Price (though worth an estimated $300 million dollars) like the simple things in life. Prince is rumored to have owned hundreds of guitars, a home filled with clothes. Prince asked Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks to write the lyrics for his new song “Purple Rain,” but she declined due to her hectic schedule.
Finally, Prince’s real name was Prince Rogers Nelson, but was called ‘Skippy’ as a child by his friends. Prince was a prolific song writer, having written more than 600 tunes, which is more than the Beatles!
