The Lumineers Out on Tour

The Lumineers formed their folk rock sound almost 15 years ago in Denver, Colorado and we’ve been blessed with some great music ever sense. The band really hit it off in 2013 with the release of their debut album, “The Lumineers,” but their background is quite interesting.

Josh Fraites saw his brother die of overdose at the age of 19, causing his music to be a release for him. The band at the early stages of its life had multiple names including Free Beer, 6Cheek and Wesley Jeremiah. They started with covers before moving to hard rock and then finally a more folk sound. How did the band end on The Lumineers as their band name? Well, they were scheduled for a gig in New Jersey and were announced by that name! The emcee that night got them confused for a band that was supposed to play at the exact same day and time, but the next week. As they say, the rest is history!

The band is out on tour right now, so let’s see where we can find them next…
