The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced its 2018 nominees, including 19 deserving artists, nine nominated for the very first time. Thankfully the Moody Blues and the Cars were among the nominees, but what about a handful of stars that surely deserves to be nominated?
The Doobie Brothers have been snubbed again this year. How is that even possible? Emerson Lake and Palmer have yet to be invited to the hall, in spite of the hits and tremendous popularity, Bad Company with Paul Rogers dominated the 70s when music struggled with disco, and Foreigner owned the 70s and 80s, and most of the 90s with so many songs it’s crazy. Each band mentioned sold millions of records, each influenced bands that came after them, each had incredible radio support, and each deserve to be in the Hall of Fame.
The Rock and Hall of Fame will announce its 2018 class this December, with the actual induction ceremonies scheduled for Cleveland April 14, 2018.
