The Eagles Still Touring, Still Making History

The Eagles were one of the biggest bands in the 70s because they captured the Folk-Rock sound so well, crossing over from pop to rock so easily. Glenn Frey is no longer with us, Joe Walsh continues to tour, with a benefit for Vets later this month, and others in the band continue to remain in good health and tour from time to time.

In the late 60s Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Bernie Leadon, and Randy Meisner primarily knew each other as the backup and road band for Linda Ronstadt in the early 70s but broke away to start a new band called the Eagles.

The band (which included Joe Walsh who joined the band a few albums in) eventually making it to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998, selling more than 150 million records. The Eagles will appear at the Talking Stick Resort in Phoenix on September 8th, three nights at the Los Angeles Forum September 12t, 14th, and 15th, then Sacramento on September 18th, followed up with a stop in San Francisco and San Diego later in September.
