The Juno Awards took place the other day and the winners were fun to hear about. This award show takes place north of the border and is considered to be the Grammys of Canada by many. This year’s host was Michael Buble.
So, who won on the rock side of things at this year’s show? There are plenty of Canadian acts that were up for awards, but only a few could win.
Arcade Fire won Album of the Year, but lost out on Single of the Year, Group of the Year, and Alternative Album of the Year. The winner of the Alternative Album of the Year was “Antisocialites” from Alvvays. Rock Album of the Year was won by The Glorious Sons thanks to their “Young Beauties and Fools.”
