If you were on a desert island what would be the five albums that you would have to have to survive? We spent some time to put together a list that you’d most definitely have to consider if stuck on an island…
“Crazy Sexy Cool” by TLC (Crystal Jones, Lisa ‘Left eye’ Lopez, and Tionne Watkins) is a shining example of girl power combined with incredible writing and harmonies. TLC won Grammys, Billboard, America Music, MTV, NAACP, and Soul Train Awards, and changed the sound of popular music in the mid-90s.
If you were ever stuck on a desert island you would certainly need the Doobie Brothers, so let’s put “Minute by Minute” on this list. Michael McDonald shines on the album that gave us so many great songs.
John Mayer’s debut album, “Room For Squares,” is the album that dominated the charts with “Why Georgia”
“Your Body Is Wonderland” and “No Such Thing.” It’s amazing how this young artist could capture the hearts of yours and Taylor Swift at the same time.
It would be hard to pick out an Elton John album, but “Madman” seems to be the likely choice as a great example of early Bernie Taupin genius and Elton John love.
