Steven Spielberg is finishing up post production for a mid-December limited release of his film called ‘The Papers.’ The film stars Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep, and the movie made news this week as Fox and Amblin Entertainment had decided to change the film’s title to ‘The Post.’
If you’re a fan of movies that are based on true events and are political in nature, this Spielberg film will have you at the edge of your seat. Although ‘The Post’ will remind you of ‘A Few Good Men,’ the premise of the movie is based on the pre-Watergate months in the Nixon Presidency.
The crux of the film is based on the leak and publication of the Pentagon Papers and President Richard Nixon’s their legal battle to stop the New York Times from publishing the remainder of the report (they had published three stories at that point).
‘The Post’ cast also includes, Bob Odenkirk, Sarah Paulson, and Matthew Rhys.
