Steve Perry’s New album Coming

Journey has finally been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and all is right with the world now! Lead singer Steve Perry attended the ceremonies at Barclays Center a few weeks ago to accept the award with fellow Journey band members, but did not perform with the group that night, giving way to current member Arnel Pindea.

Steve did tell friends and fans that he’s been busy working on a new solo album, due to be released later this year. It’s been over 13 years since Steve Perry has released new music. He hasn’t toured with Journey since 1986, but did release a solo LP, ‘For the Love of Strange, Music’ hitting the charts in 1994.

Steve grew up in Hanover, California; his dad was a co-owner of a radio station, his mother a housewife who helped mold Steve’s singing career, encouraging him to stick with it. He remained very close to his mother until her death, causing him to become reclusive and depressed. Did you know “Oh Sherrie” was one of the most requested songs on MTV, peaking at number three on the music charts?
