Steph Curry Earns College Degree 13 Years After Leaving for NBA

Stephen Curry is celebrating more than just beating the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 6 to reach the Western Conference finals, as he is now officially a college graduate!

The point guard recently finished his final semester at Davidson College 13 years after he left to play in the NBA. Now, Curry has a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Sociology.

Curry played at Davidson from 2006 to 2009, averaging 25.3 points per game, before getting picked by the Golden State Warriors as the No. 7 overall pick in 2009.

When the basketball star left Davidson, he was just one semester short of graduating. His jersey will now be able to be lifted into Davidson’s rafters and retired, as a degree is needed to do so.
